Before proceeding with a booking on any of properties within the Foreland Cottages portfolio, guests must carefully read and understand our terms and conditions.  The below shows our general terms and conditions.  Before finalising a booking, guests are asked to confirm they have read and understood the terms and conditions that are provided to them, which provides all full and through details.  If you have any questions about our terms and conditions, do not hesitate to contact us.

• Booking and Payment:
  • To secure your booking, a deposit or full payment may be required, depending on the terms specified at the time of booking.
  • Payment methods accepted include credit/debit cards, bank transfers, or other methods as specified by us.
  • The full balance must be paid by the due date specified in your booking confirmation. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation of your reservation, and any deposits paid may be forfeited.

• Cancellation and Refunds:

  • If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed in accordance with the cancellation policy.
  • Refunds may be subject to deductions for administrative fees, processing fees, or any non-refundable charges as specified in the booking terms.

• Check-in and Check-out:

  • Check-in and check-out times will be clearly stated in your booking confirmation. Please adhere to these times to ensure a smooth transition for all guests.
  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability. Additional fees may apply.

• Property Use and Responsibilities:

  • The property shall be used solely for residential and holiday purposes by the guest(s) named in the booking.
  • Guests are responsible for treating the property with care and respect and must adhere to any rules or guidelines provided by the property owner or management company.
  • Any damages, breakages, or losses incurred during your stay must be reported to us immediately, and guests may be liable for repair or replacement costs.

• Occupancy and Guests:

  • The maximum occupancy of the property is as specified in your booking confirmation. Additional guests may only stay with prior approval and may be subject to additional charges.
  • Parties, events, or gatherings exceeding the maximum occupancy or causing disturbance to neighbours are strictly prohibited.

• Pets and Smoking:

  • Unless otherwise stated, pets are not permitted in the property.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors.
  • Guests found violating these policies may be subject to additional cleaning fees and may be asked to vacate the property without refund.

• Liability and Insurance:

  • Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay. We recommend obtaining travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
  • We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience caused to guests or their belongings, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

• Complaints and Disputes:

  • Any complaints or issues arising during your stay should be reported to us immediately to allow us the opportunity to address them promptly.
  • In the event of a dispute, guests agree to attempt to resolve the matter amicably with us before pursuing any legal action.

• Agency Arrangement:
  • Foreland Cottages acts as an agent for the property owner(s) in arranging bookings for short-term holiday lets.
  • Foreland Cottages is responsible for the administration of the booking only.
  • Contract for hire of a property if between the hirer and the property owner.
  • Contract for hire becomes effective only once the full and final payment is received, and Foreland Cottages have provided written confirmation to the hirer.
  • Foreland Cottages will not accept hire from anyone under the age of 18.
  • While we strive to ensure accuracy and reliability in our bookings, we cannot be held liable for any discrepancies or issues arising from the property itself.
  • Any disputes or concerns regarding the property should be directed to us, and we will liaise with the property owner(s) to address them accordingly.

• Changes to Terms and Conditions:

  • We reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
