BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Booking and Payment:
  • To secure a booking which is more than 30 days in the future, the booker can choose to pay in full or across two instalments.  The first instalment a deposit of £200, the second instalment the final remaining costs which must be paid in full 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
  • To secure a booking which is less than 30 days in the future the booking is to be paid in full.
  • Post booking, a booking confirmation will be emailed to the lead booker within 24 hours of booking completion.
  • It is the bookers responsibility to report any incorrect or incomplete information in the booking confirmation.

• Lead Booker
  
  • The lead name on the booking ‘Lead booker’ will be the person responsible for the booking and shall be responsible for paying the deposit and the full price, for making any amendment and cancellation requests and for the payment of any additional charges. 
  • The lead booker accepts these terms and conditions for all persons on the booking.
  • The lead booker consents to use of information in accordance to our privacy policy.
  • The lead booker is over 18 years of age, and where there are age restrictions in place, declare that you and all members of your party is of appropriate age.

• Final Payments:
  • If a booking  is more than 30 days in the future, and the lead booker has chosen to pay over two instalments, the final full stay payment must be made 30 days prior to date stay start.  A reminder, and method of payment, will be sent to the lead booker by Foreland Cottages. 

• Deposits:
  • A £200 deposit is applied to each booking.  This serves as security against any damages, loss or breaches of agreements during the stay.
  • The deposit will be refunded in full 10 days after the last day of stay, provided there is no damage to the property, furnishings or equipment.  The keys are returned on the agreed checkout date and no additional cleaning or repairs are required beyond standard turnover. 
  • If damages or losses are found, deductions may be made from the deposit to cover repair or replacement costs.  In this instance, communications will occur prior to deduction with the lead booker.
  • If paid using currency other than GBP, Foreland Cottages cannot guarantee the same exchange rate.

• Check-in and Check-out:
  • Check-in time is from 4 PM onwards on your date of arrival
  • Check-out time is by 10 AM on your departure date.
  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and/ or additional fees.
  • If you fail to check in during your allocated and booked period, the booking stands in accordance to our cancellation policy.

• Property Access Information:
  • Property access information will be provided 5 days prior to the booking dates but only in the case the full and final payment has been provided.

• Property Use and Responsibilities:
  • The property is to be used solely for residential and holiday purposes by the guest(s) named in the booking.
  • Guests are responsible for the care and cleanliness of the property during their stay.
  • Guests are to utilise each property in alignment with the guest information books located within each property.
  • Any damages, breakages, or losses incurred during your stay must be reported to Foreland Cottages immediately.

• Occupancy and Guests:
  • The maximum occupancy of the property must not be exceeded.
  • Only guest(s) stated in the booking forms are permitted within the property, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Only guest(s) stated in the booking forms are permitted to stay overnight at the property.
  • Parties, events, or gatherings exceeding the maximum occupancy or causing disturbance to neighbours are strictly prohibited.
  • Guests may be liable for additional costs if the maximum guest occupancy is exceeded.

• Pets:
  • Pets are not permitted in the property unless specifically stated.
  • ‘Pets’ are limited to dogs only. 
  • If an alternative pet is required to stay, prior permission must be granted via Foreland Cottages prior to booking.
  • The maximum number of pets permitted in each property is listed within the property description.   The maximum pet occupancy of the property must not be exceeded.
  • Guests may be liable for additional costs if the maximum pet occupancy is exceeded.

• Babies:
  • Not all of the Foreland Cottages properties facilitate young children such as babies.
  • Properties that are not baby friendly will state as such within their description. 
  • Properties that do facilitate babies will often only have one cot and/ or highchair, which is listed in the property description. 
  • Please inform at time of booking how many babies are attending and what equipment is needed.  Foreland Cottages will do the utmost to accomodate but are not governed to provide all required equipment and / or volumes of equipment.
  • It is key to note none of the Foreland Cottage properties include baby gates.  Portable travel baby gates can be utilised by the guests. 

• Smoking:
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors.  Acceptable smoking areas are provided in each property guest information book.
  • Guests found violating this policy may be subject to additional cleaning fees.

• Special Requests:
  
  • If you have special requests,   please let us know at time of booking. Foreland Cottages will do the utmost to accomodate, but are not governed to provide all required equipment and / or volumes of equipment.  

• Cancellation, Amendments and Refunds
  • If a booking  is more than 30 days in the future, and the lead booker has chosen to pay over two instalments, the final full stay payment must be made 30 days prior to date stay start.  A reminder, and method of payment, will be sent to the lead booker by Foreland Cottages.  In the scenario of non payment by the required final payment date, the booking will be terminated and any deposits and / or payments paid will be forfeited.
  • If you need to cancel your reservation at any time, please notify Foreland Cottages as soon as possible.
  • Cancellation up to 10 weeks prior to check in date will incur a forfeit of the £200 deposit.
  • Cancellation within 10 weeks of your check in date will incur a 100% cancellation fee of all fees paid.
  • Date amendment on the same property for the same year can occur 10 weeks or more of your check in date for a £50 fee.  In this case, contact Foreland Cottages (enquires@forelandcottages.com).  If a date change can be fulfilled, any differences in price will apply.
  • If extreme weather (or other such reasons) which prevents you from reaching your booked property destination or requires you to leave early, the cancellation policy still stands. 
  • If the selected property becomes unavailable for the booked period, due to unforeseen issues such as flood, fire or fix, Foreland Cottages will endeavour to provide guest(s) with alternative suitable accommodation for the same or similar dates within the Foreland Cottage’s portfolio, provide the lead booker alternative dates for the same accommodation or refund all monies paid, or a proportion in the case of curtailment. Foreland Cottages cannot pay any compensation or expenses as a consequence of such an event.
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 10 days of cancellation, minus any applicable fees.
  • If paid using currency other than GBP, Foreland Cottages cannot guarantee the same exchange rate.
  • We recommend obtaining travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, including illness and cancellation due to COVID 19.  It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover is adequate for your needs including cancellation and curtailment.

• Liability and Insurance:
  
  • Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay. We recommend obtaining travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
  • We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience caused to guests or their belongings, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
  • Guests must abide by the safety requirements as listed within the property Guest Information.  Failure to do so and negligence of such requirements leading to a negative events will result in additional fees.

• Complaints and Disputes:
  • Any complaints or issues arising during your stay should be reported to us at Foreland Cottages (enquires@forelandcottages.com) immediately to allow us the opportunity to address them promptly with the property owners.  We aim to respond no later than 1 business day.
  • Guests agree to attempt to resolve any disputes amicably before pursuing any legal action.

• Agency Arrangement:
  • Foreland Cottages acts as an agent for the property owner(s) in arranging bookings for short-term holiday lets or short term residential stays.
  • Foreland Cottages is responsible for the administration of the booking only.
  • Contract for hire of a property is between the hirer and the property owner.
  • Contract for hire becomes effective only once the full and final payment is received, and Foreland Cottages have provided written confirmation to the hirer.
  • While we strive to ensure accuracy and reliability in our bookings, we cannot be held liable for any discrepancies or issues arising from the property itself.
  • Any disputes or concerns regarding the property should be directed to us at Foreland Cottages (enquires@forelandcottages.com) , and we will liaise with the property owner(s) to address them accordingly.
  • We accept no liability for death or personal injury whilst residing at a Foreland Cottage property.

• Changes to Terms and Conditions:
  • We reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
